The 2018 All-Tournament Team was announced after each team’s final game. From the IP Classic Champions, Bishop England Bishops, were Jacob Moore, Leo Albano, and Geoffrey Gilbert. From the runners-up, Boiling Springs' Bulldogs, are John Michael Faile and Dawson Taylor.

MVP was Ryan Gaffney of Bishop England. He got the win in the Championship Game holding Boiling Springs to 1 run on 3 hits in six innings pitched.

Hartsville edged Georgetown 9-8 in the 4th place consolation game. Weidner Wilfong of Hartsville was named to the All-Tourney Team.

The Boiling Springs Bulldogs who were the 2017 IP Classic Champions finished the 2018 IP Classic as runners-up.

The Base Running Contest held on Friday evening also features the speediest player from each team competing to see who is the fastest man in the tournament. The Academic Team recognizes the player on each teach with the highest overall GPA. The student-athlete with the highest GPA is the tournament is awarded a $500 Scholarship sponsored by National Geographic/Cengage Learning, Mr. Carey Evans, Southeast Regional Sales Manager. Congratulations to these student-athletes!

Summerville defeated Blythewood 6-2 in the 2nd place consolation game. Named to the All-Tournament Team from the two schools were Johnny Cook and Daniel Lloyd of Summerville and Ben Lang-Spittler and John Lanier of Blythewood.

The Bishop England Battling Bishops led by Coach Mike Darnell began the 2018 season by winning the 2018 IP Classic Championship.  They ended the season as the 2018 AAA State Champions.

T.L. Hanna defeats South Florence 4-3 in the 3rd place consolation game. Will Hardee of South Florence and James Parker of T.L. Hanna were named to the All-Tournament Team.
